John P. Lewis graduated in 1990 from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1993, graduating summa cum laude. Mr. Lewis is admitted to practice in the United States Eastern and Western District Courts of Michigan. 

John was a member of the Board of Editors for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. He graduated first in a class of 181 and received the David Martin Scholarship and James E. Burns Scholarship. He was awarded nine American Jurisprudence Awards for scholastic achievement. 

He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the State Bar of Nevada. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and Grand Rapids Bar Association. 

Prior to joining our team, John was a litigation attorney with Cholette, Perkins & Buchanan, P.C. (1995-1997); and a Judicial Clerk to Chief Justice Michael F. Cavanagh, Michigan Supreme Court (1993-1995). 

Mr. Lewis has practiced Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation, No-Fault Litigation, Insurance Claims and Coverage, fraud, General Liability Insurance Litigation, and Appellate Practice. 

John is also a frequent seminar speaker on No-Fault and general liability issues and has extensive trial experience over his 27 years of private practice.
